McCutchen was pretty slow getting down the first base line yesterday.

Storms dying down here, although it looks like there is another line that will hit later tonight.

Yup, I read that he hurt his left knee. Or re-hurt it.

Shouldn't Cervelli be leading off? Hi OBP. While he may not be fast he is far from a liability on the base paths. I would argue he is the closest thing this team has to an ideal lead off hitter (for now).

Is it wrong that I am rooting for AJ to put one in Gomez' earhole?

Ugh.

The Post Gazette said he "tweaked" his knee on a swing yesterday. I'm curious if it happened on his first at bat; that may explain his subpar day at the plate.

Problem with that is it gets one in Cutch's earhole.

Looks like the current forecast is for the next line of rain to hit around 11, so they might get this in.

Sampson throwing the hell out of the ball in Indy, does he or Richard get the call if Locke continues to struggle?

Neither. I just don't see them admitting the mistake and making a change.

Gameplan tonight: Take meatballs right down the middle, fall behind in the count, then swing at balls in the dirt.

yes you're wrong, but only because you want one in Gomez's earhole. I want AJ to hit him in the fucking face every time he comes up to bat. That guy is a fucking asshole

But the book says catchers don't bat second.

Is it reluctance to admit a mistake, or is it a genuine belief that going with a righty-heavy rotation is an even bigger mistake?

Hurdle is dumb enough that I would believe either one of those scenarios.

10 to 1 he gives partial credit to Locke's left handedness for Cole and AJ's success if pressed for reasons Locke is still in the rotation.
