Yeah Ben Zobrist is decent. Do you think Ben Zobrist has been top of the draft class decent?

Seeing as guys like Tim Beckham, BJ Upton, and Alvarez have gone higher while Zobrist shits on them then yeah. If we got a 124 OPS+ out of Pedro the last 7 years we'd have a lot different perception of him. Plus, this draft just seems like a bunch of guys all bunched together talent wise.

So Brady is part of the bunch is what you're saying.

Peter Gammons just compared Kyle Tucker to Ted Williams.

I guarantee that the guy the Pirates draft will be someone I don't really know anything about.

I guarantee that I will spend half an hour reading about him and then form an opinion anyway.

Ben Zobrist was a damn good baseball player for a few years:

OPS+ in full seasons:

2009- 149
2010- 96
2011-131
2012-137
2013- 112
2014- 114

Yeah and his WAR numbers were through the roof. I would take that all day.

Tyler Jay is going to be a nice option for the Twins coming out of the pen come playoff time.

Happ goes to the Cubs. Curious if a WPIAL player has ever been drafted higher.

Randolph gone.

Marlins pull a Cole Tucker and take a kid ranked in the high 50s by MLB.com at 12th overall. Ha.

His comp is Matt Fucking Stairs....LOL.

Any team drafting in the top 20 in the first round should just kill themselves if they draft a guy who could eventually be Matt Stairs. Fire your scouting guy. Of course, he'll turn out to be the best player drafted today....just watch.

Marlins are a shit show. Wonder if Daz Cameron has some signability concerns. Draft day is why the board needs jeffr to post more than once every other month.

@Chris_Cotillo Agents shocked by Naylor pick for the #Marlins. "Unreal" was one's reaction.

Dan Jennings is too busy managing the major league team. He forgot the draft is today.

Allard would have been a decent get for the Pirates.

Holy shit. Ken Griffey jr is ... Wide......

Nvm. I think it was a bad camera angle.
I am nevertheless too sensible of my defects not to think it probable that I may have committed many posting errors.

I always turn to the sports pages first, which records people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures.
