Bradenton has legitimate prospects in almost every spot in the everyday lineup. They also have a reliever, Julio Vivas, who was bumped up to the Marauders from the GCL.

Aso, assuming you saw the game online, how did Glasnow look overall? Were the walks the result of him missing (and did he miss badly)? Or was the ump squeezing him?

@CoryGiger: Stetson Allie dropped fly ball in RF that allowed Harrisburg to score go-ahead run. Allie, a new RF, 3 errors past 2 games. And they've hurt

What I saw was a guy who struggled with FV command the first 2 innings but after that it was trying to get chases with the curveball. The first 2 he threw were hangers but after that the kid just dropped invicuous hooks. I think the FB was very solid at times and when he missed heissed low.

He's fucking so impressive. It's so fun to watch.

Invicuous is a great word. I don't know what it means (a cross between incredible, vicious and ridiculous?) and I'm not sure that it would count in Scrabble. But, it's great nonetheless.
In any human group, family, tribe, (or baseball team), there are norms - shared expectations of behavior. Any member who deviates from these norms calls into question the basic values of the group. And groups don't like to have their basic values questioned. It makes them nervous. - Jim Bouton in Ball Four Plus Ball Five

What about doctors who make house calls? Repairmen who know how to fix things? And ballplayers who hustle? And boxers who get carried out of the ring, instead of quitting because of stomach cramps? And what about the death penalty for scum who take a human life and snuff it out like it's so much garbage? I've seen the past, gentlemen, and it works. - William Shatner as T.J. Hooker in episode 1.1 'The Protectors'

It seems likely that removing the sense of closure from book writing will, in time, alter writer's attitudes toward their work. The pressure to achieve perfection will diminish, along with the artistic rigor that the pressure imposed. - Nicholas Carr from The Shallows

Shit, I already bought my daily cup of coffee before reading aso's update. Do you think it would be okay if I just pretended I didn't read it?

"The Bay trade doesn't look like it (a slam dunk winner), but if you take into account the fact that all they lost was eight months of Jason Bay's services, as well as the fact that even the Red Sox look like they won't be able to re-sign him, it's not nearly the loser many people seem to think." - tWTM 11/26/2009

"Morton is finding himself, now while this may sound weird and out there, but the fact he put on a solo concert at Piratefest shows he finally has the confidence that he lacked within himself that he didn't have in the lower minors." - aso513 2/8/2010

He hasn't mentioned it.

For the first time in about 3 or 4 years I visited Tammay's website. You can access player pages (information you could easily find elsewhere for free). You cannot , however view a single blog post for free.

Great marketing Tammay.

The first base coach still hasn't seen that ball. Took good care of the shin guard though. Too bad Neverette wasn't announcing the game, he would have started his home run call.
"Well be comfortable adding one (starter), he said. Well be comfortable adding nobody if its just not there. We dont feel we are driven to force it. If we can add one that makes sense for us, thats great. If we can add two that make sense then we do that.
