I saw the movie Cake recently. Very different kind of movie that didn't quite go the way you thought it would. It's one of the few movies that actually made me shed a quiet tear.

Saw it this weekend and it is what it is, dinosaurs running amok. If you dont take it any more serious than that, its a good time.

Office closed early today due to losing power so I took the opportunity to see it at the discount matinee. I enjoyed it, but felt like it was the same basic story as the original, but on a larger scale. I'd give it maybe a 7/10.

I thought Jurassic World was a dumbed down 2015 A.D.D America version of Jurassic Park. Wanted to be like the original, had to throw in a bunch of loud noises, mayhem and multiple people getting eaten to cater to a modern audience. Just way many more things the original didn't need to be to be a classic.

Same basic story on a larger scale sounds perfect. I want to punch all these hipster shitbags on rotten tomatoes that are all "the story wasn't deep." It's a movie about dinosaurs taking over in 2015. The hell were you looking for?

It made $500,000,000 this weekend for a reason.

They weren't looking. They dont know how hard CGI is to do. They just expect it.

It was decent, but not nearly as good as the original. That may be nostalga talking though.

Did anyone see the Entourage movie?

Saw it and it was essentially just an extra season in 1:45. Same arc a pretty much every season involved. I felt they spent way too much time on E's portion of it all, but either way it was worth seeing if you watched all the way through. If you never saw the show then the movie will make almost no sense.

It wasn't as bad as The Gambler. Which is currently the worst movie I've seen in theaters this year. And I saw Pitch Perfect 2.

Mad max was awesome. Apparently they are doing a Vacation remake with Ed helms as the lead, looks as awful as it sounds

That grainy leaked Deadpool trailer looks really cool. Can't wait for an R rated super hero movie. I guess he's an anti hero, but same thing

the grainy leaked Suicide Squad trailer looks good too. Not sure how the Jared Leto Joker is going to work out.

I did some travelling so I watched some not so recent movies. One of them was Lucy, the Luc Besson movie staring Scarlett Johansson. Yes I knew about the"only use 5% of our brains" crap but I was willing to overlook that for what might be a decent action movie.

But it wasn't. I'll have to look back at my list of worst movies ever but this one is definitely in the running. It was laughably bad. Horrible science and philosophy combined with hundreds of inconsistencies and this nice little touch of continually adding nature and Koyaanisqatsi type montages made this film a true treasure.

The only reason to ever watch this film is to see what a low bar for bad film making looks like.

Hell, the other movie I saw was Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters and it was light years better. It was basically a fast paced zero plot action movie.

come on man. those are old ass movies. Maybe we need an old movies thread.

To me, Terminator Genesys is great. I never saw the last one, but this one tied all of the Arnold movies up perfectly.

Does the TV thread talk about Wings and Alice ?

Yeah, yeah, so they were last year. But they are relevant now cause they both are in the video release period. Plus I didn't feel like looking for last year's thread. I just did and it looks like GB21 is the only other one that commented and similarly panned Lucy.

I haven't seen the Terminator movie and doubt I'll have time. I'm hoping to see the Jurassic Park movie at the theaters but I'm running out of time there. I have no idea how people find time to see movies in the summer.

Oblong translator: The Lucy edition of Rifftrax should be a good one.

God I love Rifftrax.
