For Valentines Day, the wife and I saw Kingsman (her idea, by the way). Fucking awesome. I loved Bond movies as a kid but outside the first Bourne movie, haven't enjoyed a spy movie in over 30 years.

The scene in the church may be one of the best moments in cinema history.
"The business of baseball is to make money, not break even. I don't understand why you think the Pirates should run their team like a charity." - Willlton 6/18/2009

"The Bay trade doesn't look like it (a slam dunk winner), but if you take into account the fact that all they lost was eight months of Jason Bay's services, as well as the fact that even the Red Sox look like they won't be able to re-sign him, it's not nearly the loser many people seem to think." - tWTM 11/26/2009

"Morton is finding himself, now while this may sound weird and out there, but the fact he put on a solo concert at Piratefest shows he finally has the confidence that he lacked within himself that he didn't have in the lower minors." - aso513 2/8/2010

"Dave Littlefield vindicated." - Xiga 4/30/2011 after one scoreless inning of relief by Daniel Moskos.

"Hanrahan and Cedeno would be a gross overpayment for Belt. Sorry, but I'll stick with my realistic analysis of the market and the teams involved." - Steve Zielinski 5/25/2011

"He (Barmes) could have a .000 Batting Average and still be an asset." - bradlej31 5/28/2012

"The last time the Pirates won an extra-inning game in St. Louis that lasted at least 16 frames was April 20, 1986 at Chicago." - Kristy Robinson 8/19/2012

"I want to tweet something clever and interesting to you that will earn your respect and make you smile, since you do that to me all the time." - jpbucco to Colin Dunlap 4/12/2016

"If the Pirates had acquired Giancarlo Stanton from the Marlins, Im not sure they would have won the Benedict trade." - David Todd 11/11/2015

Nice. Saw American Sniper and was surprised to find it pretty dull overall. Best movie of 2014 IMO was Whiplash. Unbelievable film... But I recognize this is the 2015 movie thread.

Any thoughts on Spider-Man joining the Avengers family?

Going to see Kingsman later this afternoon after then Pens game. Also interested in seeing Chappie when it comes out.

As for the question about Spidey joining the Avengers family, I'm one of the few who isn't a fan of the move. I didn't like when he joined the Avengers in the comics and I don't like him doing it in the movies. I've always seen Spider-Man as more of a loner character who partners with other heroes as needed, rather than an actual, ongoing member of a team.

Saw Kingsmen with my son Friday night- really entertaining- and took two of the little guys to see Paddington last weekend- and it was surprisingly good. Typically with the grandkids' kind of movies, I get comfy in anticipation of a snooze, but it keeps your attention. Don't take little ones to Kingsmen, the language and innuendo is not for kids, and I guess that's why it's R huh? Samuel L. Jackson is a riot, a bad guy you kind of root for. I have a friend who calls Samuel L. Jackson, Stephen A. Jackson, and I'm pretty sure he thinks Stephen A. and Samuel L. are one and the same.

I liked that move a lot better when it was Steve Gutenberg and Johnny 5.

I like that one, too. I never mind a similar story being told in a new way, though. For that matter, I don't even mind the same story being told in the same way, so long as I'm entertained.

I don't know where Potash is, but everyone who looks like Stephen A. Smith and Samuel L. Jackson are out buying cigs and 40's.

What? No one's gone with his spouse/girlfriend to 50 Shades of Grey? It's grossed $90 million with one day left in the weekend.

I read 15 pages of the book. It was awful.

Also I don't find Dakota Johnson that attractive.

Meh. Shes not ugly, but if her dad wasn't famous shes just a girl next door, normal girl on campus. She wouldn't make it into the Succulent NIT Tournament.

His name is Samuel! L! Jackson! Jesus first Lawrence Fishburne, now John Goodman. Get his damn name right.
