And just to add, I was prepared to be underwhelmed but it was pretty good. Big Ben and the Hound was pretty apt too.

Exactly my reaction. This was pretty well done. I like Sanchez as Theon Greyjoy, and Tebow as Joffrey.

So, I learned something about a star in the series and can't share hardly any details due to HIPAA.

It'll eventually come out in the news, at which time I can come back and tell what I know but I will share this: we came very close to losing a central piece to the show and that translates in more ways than one.

Recovery is going to take many many months, so it could impact next season but I'm hopeful that's not the case.

With that, let the big night begin....

Unless you live outside the states, I think that narrows it down a bit. I won't speculate anymore out of respect for you sharing this with us, but I have my guesses as to whom. As to why is another reason entirely.

One thing I can say for certain is that GoT does not lack for good storylines. I could happily read a whole book on any of the characters.

I have been waiting for this night since the day the series was announced. Now I will go around to various message boards and soak it in. Just tell me - did you feel it in your gut? I sure did.

There's still lots of interesting stuff to come.

Question - Don't read if you're concerned about a minor spoiler.

To answer your question about my gut...

Well, without spoiler tags I can't properly explain what I felt.

Here is how to use a spoiler tag:

You write the word spoiler within a set of brackets like so [spoyler] except that you should spell it properly. Then you write [/spoyler].
Everything between those tags will be spoilered.

As someone who didn't read the books (yet), I knew something along these lines was going to happen. Definitely a gut-punch, but it makes for damn good TV. I'm just sad the season is almost over, and it's just starting to get really good.

I worked in broadcasting for a lot of years, some as a producer/director. Usually. I predict accurately what's going to happen and drive my wife insane doing it.

Well, let me just say that, from someone who never read the books, tonight's Throne was the very definition of, "Holy Shit! Never saw that coming!"

Absolutely jaw dropping television!

One of the single best television episodes of any series I've seen.

Holy crap!

I found out the answer to my question by watching the scene on Youtube.
Heh.
Heheheheheheheheheh.

I'm going to go full spoiler now. You shouldn't open this if you're not fully up to date with the novels. I'm looking for some opinions.

I read all the books years ago and it floored me when I was reading them. You just don't expect something like this, but it does make the world much more believable.

Never watched this show and have no idea what it's about, despite it filling my Twitter feed each Sunday. I'll check it out when it comes to Netflix in 2036.

Its probably the best show on tv right now. Its worth getting an HBO subscription for a few weeks and binge watching the first 3 seasons. Trust me, it'll be worth it.

Or you could just go read the books.
