Ok now here is a fun thread. This goes from the dawn of baseball, right up to today. All Time.

The players who just kill the Pirates. It doesn't have to be a bad player who just plays great against the Pirates(Billy Hamilton), it can be anyone. It can be a great player who ALSO kills the bucs. A pitcher who we absolutely cannot hit(Steve Carlton), a relief pitcher who shuts us down, a sub who comes in just against us to beat us, etc...

Name the Pirate killers.

At the moment, for this year, I'm thinking right away Carpenter of St Louis, and of course Bryant and Rizzo.
Then I go back to the 70's and I think Carlton and Randy Jones of San Diego. Larry Bittner of the Expos, etc...
Obviously Otis fucking Nixon. Who else?

Fuck Billy Hamilton. If he played for the Pirates, he'd be the worst player in baseball.

Don Sutton worked the Pirates over pretty well.

Garry Maddox always seemed to be on base against the Bucs back in the day.

New Brighton's own, Jack Clark absolutely owned the Pirates. He hit 38 homers against us, more than any other team he played against.

Prince Fielder. Art Howe.

Except for the Wild Card game, Johnny Cueto. They're 4-20 against him.

This is driving me crazy. There was that one redhead lefty SP that the Brewers had who was complete shit, but he would always DESTROY us.

This was pretty recent, and I know he's been traded a time or two, and it's maddeningly on the tip of my brain. Arrrrrgh...

HOJO not so much, only a .769 OPS against the Bucs.

If there were ever a candidate for steroid use, HOJO is one.

Pujols absolutely crushed us. I would look up his lifetime stats against us, but we're beating the Cubs 10-0 right now so why spoil a good mood?

Todd Fucking Frazier : .887 overall career OPS against Pirates, .968 at PNC.

May have cost them the division title in 2015.
"We’ll be comfortable adding one (starter),” he said. “We’ll be comfortable adding nobody if it’s just not there. We don’t feel we are driven to force it. If we can add one that makes sense for us, that’s great. If we can add two that make sense … then we do that.”
Opie Taylor. In a decisive moment.

Actually, with the exception of one fucking game, Johnny fucking Cueto. Basically, unhittable, other than the WC game. Has made us his bitch in nearly every other outing.
