Maybe if you would call me back instead of sitting around thinking of this shit, I wouldn't need to use 'ASAP' so often. You ever think of that?

Naw I don't do phone calls. Mostly because the guy was asking me for something I never had anything to do with, so I forwarded on the voicemail/emails and sent a quick one back saying thats not my department.

Air BNB turned their first profit ever in Q4 2016, according to some people. They have raised more VC money than just about any company ever, and they are valued at $30B. It will be interesting to see if this is the year they go public. There's been a trend of companies wanting to get in to the black before going public, so they could start the process of their IPO.

Speaking of tech companies, both Uber and Lyft continue to lose ~$50M a month. Neither seem ready to back out anytime soon either. It makes no sense why they don't merge so they can finally jack up prices

Physicists appear to have created metallic hydrogen. If confirmed, the potential of this is apparently pretty huge.

Does this mean my school's science room needs to buy a new periodic table that doesn't separate Hydrogen from the alkali metals group?

Haha I don't think so. From what I've read, metallic hydrogen is like degenerative matter, but it's still Hydrogren, so I don't think its position on the table would change.

Completely intrigued by the possibility of it being a room-temperature superconductor though. They've been searching for a substance that would do that for decades.

Its position on the periodic table is already right above the alkali metals. There are some periodic tables that use different color squares or thicker lines to differentiate various types of matter. That's all I was wondering about.
