Despite Anderson playing very well, the Pens were absolutely hosed last night.

Unfortunately, the Steelers were basically forced to let Mahan start all year and into the playoffs because they cut Chukky Okobi in training camp and had no other centers on the roster after that.

I have precisely one good thing to say about Duce Staley. In 2005, he came off the bench against the Packers in November and had about 75 yards rushing plus a TD on a day when the Steelers couldn't do anything else offensively. Batch was playing QB (not particularly well) and all their other backs were either injured or playing like shit. The Steelers ended up winning the game, without which they wouldn't have made the playoffs in the year that they went on to win the Super Bowl. They probably don't get that win without Staley. Duce was also on pace for a Pro Bowl-type year in 2004 before he got injured. So he did actually do some positive things for the team, unlike some of the other guys who have been named in this thread. Kent Graham was fucking awful.

Staley also made sideline sweatpants en vogue.

Of course it was. The D wouldn't have the confidence to pinch and keep the play in Ottawa's zone like that with Fleury. Plus, he'd be due for the second consecutive sub-.900 game, just like the first two series.

They had no choice. They couldn't afford to sit back and risk going down 3-1. Their aggressiveness would have been the same regardless of goalie. Being able to finally score more than 1 goal won them this game.
