Wacha pitching perfect game through 3 innings. Pirates starting RFer has .105 OPS.
"We’ll be comfortable adding one (starter),” he said. “We’ll be comfortable adding nobody if it’s just not there. We don’t feel we are driven to force it. If we can add one that makes sense for us, that’s great. If we can add two that make sense … then we do that.”
Opie Taylor. In a decisive moment.

Now has one homer in 15 games - on pace for 11. Might end up as team leader.

Base hit for Jaso! Raises his average to .053 .

And he immediately makes up for it by getting doubled off on a pop up to the second baseman.

Dexter Fucking Fowler - Pirates killer.

It was bad before Marte's busting but now there isn't a single dynamic player in the lineup. Polanco maight be one day, but he sure as shit isn't now.

This team is going to lose a fuck ton of baseball games.
Utah, get me two.

Tw Cards errors plus a walk in the 8th. Pirates fail to score.

Wait until they stop getting outstanding starts from the rotation.

Probably once the staff is done facing a Cardinals offense that has mustered 3 or less runs in 10 games already this year.

Jaso has become one of my most-hated Pirates of the last few years. He's one of those crazy religious nuts and has those stupid white-guy dreadlocks that he can't back up by being decent on the field. Fuck you Jaso.

If you had to sum up the Cardinals' dominance of the Pirates in one play, it would've been this.

Based loaded, 1 out, absolute rocket shot off the bat. Diving web gem by Matt F. Carpenter down the first base line, doubles up the runner off 1B. Inning over.

Fuck me, and fuck the Cardinals.

That was just flat pitiful. The Cards gave the Pirates 5 outs, and they still couldn't score. Christ, even in the middle of the 20 year losing streak, there were still some Pirates position players worth watching. Not so much on the current team, though.

I want to enable tomorrow to see the Yankees and grab a free t-shirt

But not for the minimum ticket price of $37 when the forecast calls for rain.

For $37 I could go to a Dormont bar and get wicked shitfaced all day. In the rain.

yeah, the problem is more fireworks night rather than yankees... wait, I just saw that free shirts are Saturday? huh, go figure. Anyway, looks like $25 on stubhub, but likely a fees to push to the $37 range anyway.
You're pretty on the inside,
That's better than not pretty at all,
You're pretty on the inside,
Too bad I'm an outside kinda pretty guy.

I went to a Braves game last year and it appears that they charge extra to get bobbleheads, shirts, caps and some other promotions.

Here is an example for Star Wars night in May:

  • Terrace Reserved - $51
  • Vista Infield - $27
  • Grandstand Infield - $18

Package Includes:

  • Pregame costume parade around the warning track*
  • Donation to 501st Legion Make-A-Wish Endowment Fund
  • TK 19: R.A. Dickey Bobblehead **
* Parade line up starts at 5:45 p.m. at the 3rd Base Ramp near Sections 135/137.

** Bobblehead redemption at Guest Services across from section 111. Bobblehead is only available with this ticket package.

Upper 50's with about 5% chance of rain for the game.

I gave in and bought them for $33 (fees included) on Stub Hub.

I'll probably get shitface at the ballpark somewhere then get more shitfaced at Dormont after the game.

I may end up reaching Aso's drink level.
