Is there a reason you haven't bought his plane ticket for him yet?

For real. Do you realize how many goal line sized rails you can lay down with that much blow? Sleep and food are for pussies.

It's too bad that PHX will lose its hub status in a few years thanks to the merger. Almost never get delayed here. It's like the opposite of PHL.

When you say it like that it makes sense fiscally.

Is it definite that it will lose hub status? Although I hate everything else about the Phoenix area, the airport is great

Yeah, PHL and PHX are going to lose the status - CLT is likely going to be ok. All the American hubs are staying - LGA, LAX, DFW, and MIA.

I'm in.

Planning to visit Wrigley Field (vs Pirates) for a matinee then to US Cellular Field on April 10. April 11th to Target Field. April 12th to Miller Park (vs Pirates)

then just yesterday I booked myself a 3 day vacation to Panama City Beach after Mother's Day. May checkout some WV Power at Greenville, SC and Augusta, GA while I'm down there.

PHX losing hub status sucks but I'm glad to see PHL lose it. Flying is much better for me now that I don't have to go through that shithole.

I going to be travelling to the metropolis of Cranberry on Friday night. I'm just driving though, couldn't get a cheap airfare.

I guess I shouldn't say this is confirmed. It's just what the speculation on most travel sites I've read suggests will be the outcome.

I've been travelling more frequently due to certain circumstances. I'm shopping for a fligt out of Pittsburgh to West Palm next week and I am seeing a couple of flights with the 38 minute layover in Atlanta. I've done a 55 min layover there with time to spare and I was in separate terminals, but only one apart. I'm wondering if anyone has done the 38 minute. I realize that if my initial flight is delayed then I'm fucked.

My airline options are:
Airtran (haven't been delayed yet and I've been flying them most recently)
Delta (never have flown them)

Any insight?

Is the layover on Delta or AirTran? If it's on AirTran you're probably ok as I think all of their flights go out of one concourse. Delta is spread out among 2 or 3 of them and that would be tight if not on the same concourse.

Airtran has a 38 min layover to another Airtran flight
Delta has a 38 min layover to another Delta flight

I'm ok with Airtran I think; only once have I had to change terminals with them and it was one over. And I've never been delayed more than 10 minutes with them and almost always land early (not anymore of course since I just jinxed them).

I haven't flown Delta in years and have never had a layover in ATL with them.

I seldom ever fly Delta, and when I did it was almost always just to and from Atlanta. I'd definitely do the AirTran option.

I'd go with the Airtran option as well.

On one of my past trip I was in the Baltimore airport and was delayed (I think I mentioned it). Then delayed again, and again. Eventually the flight just somehow disappeared from the board, no word. It was so strange, I was pretty sure we hadn't departed yet. Eventually we took off but I think it was taken off the board in some way that they could hide it since it was just getting to the point of being delayed by something like 4 hours or whatever time they use as a cutoff for offering some concessions.

That being said, I don't think I ever made it out of philly on time.
