Was the shooter an adult or a student? If a student, that would be unbelievable.

EDIT: NY Times says the shooter was an adult. An adult mass murdering elementary school kids -- that shooter didn't deserve to die, he deserved to have his intestines pulled out through his throat and then eaten by fire ants.

Good God. They're fucking kids. They were probably practicing for their Christmas pagent or having a party. You're depressed and want to end, go right ahead. But don't take 27 others with you, you fucking coward.

Prepare for an even more serious gun control discussion.

CNN is saying the first people who died were the principal and a school psychologist, and I read somewhere that the principal may have been the target. How that got to all those other people and kids, I have no idea.

Just disgusting that this is what humanity has become. I mean, I get that there are maniacs out there, but why the fuck can't they at least leave kids alone.

No. If he is the second shooter, just killing him is a light punishment compared to what the families have to go through.

Can anybody with TV access confirm this, because I read online that a whole classroom of kids is still unaccounted for, and I hope that's outdated information.

From what I can gather it seems as though the shooting happened inside a kindergarten classaroom and it is that class that is unaccounted for.

Sweet Mary Mother Of God have mercy on their souls.

Kindergarteners. I feel so ill right now.

When I see something like this it shakes me deep within. My son is a principal of an elementary school in Atlanta. He is always having to deal with unhappy parents.

I am thinking that the unaccounted classroom is relatively old news. For emergencies, schools typically have their classrooms assemble in designated areas outside the school - teachers counts kids. Administration polls the teachers. You don't just leave and hang out like we did back in the day. At least this polling was the procedure when I was teaching in Virginia almost a decade ago now. Back when I was a kid in NY we seemingly just left outside of designated doors and hung out.

My guess is that a couple hours ago, as the remaining school administrators polled teachers, that they noted that they couldn't find anyone from a particular classroom. The media is now repeating this nugget, but it has been separated from the rest of the timeline. This missing classroom probably, hopefully, "just" represents most of the dead - and not an additional group of dead on top of the 27/18.
