I almost don't want the Pirates to win the NL Central, because I don't want Huntington and Nutting rewarded for this shitty, salary-dumping punt of a season.

We talk about fake news...this team is essentially "fake moves."

They're picking up players like Benoit to fake like they actually are trying and give a shit, when they clearly don't.

Great. Watch him go 10 for 13 with 5 Home Runs against us this week.

This is one belief in which I believe board sentiment will back you up. And I know you qualified it with "almost." But I will never go there. It is sports. A diversion. Geez people.

Can't wait to see Happ shove his stuff up the pirates asses today.

Part of me believes the reason they retained Nova is because they didn't want to look foolish for letting another pitcher they fixed walk and continue to pitch well. Especially with an affordable contract like Nova or Happ
Jose Tabata, Pedro Alvarez, and Andrew McCutchen are the new Jason Kendall, Brian Giles, and Kevin Young (in his prime) players that are good, but surrounded by crap which will make them losers.

I wouldn't have signed Happ to that deal either.

Happ probably earned the 36 million last year when he won 20 games

I didn't imply that I was right but at the time, I would not have signed that deal

Interesting NYT obit on Umpire Ken Kaiser. I just read the printed version over my "morning" coffee. Hope the link works:

Good piece. Interesting how he lost his job. I've read in some places where writers are telling NBA players to decertify to get a better CBA.

That was hilarious.

The announcers were bringing up how Chad Kuhl learned a new curve ball a couple months ago... then BOOM, upper deck blast, etc. and 5-1 lead by Toronto.

That was an amazing caught foul tip by Cervelli.

Chad Kuhl fucking sucks.

And Starling Marte and his OPS+ of 68 needs to hit the roids again.

Ready for some good news?
The Cubs next 24 games are against teams playing below .500 baseball.

It gets better.
The 14 of those 24 are at home.

And now for more good news.
Of the Pirates remaining 48 games, 33 games are against teams playing over .500.

Wait, the good news truck hasn't left yet.
16 of those games are against, the Cubs, Dodgers, and Nationals.

The only significant good news this franchise's fan base could get would involve a certain someone either selling his cash cow or clutching his chest and falling face-first into a ski slope.

Hey! You watch it!

I said SKI slope, you idiot.

Oh, ok, I rearry sorry. And yeah, I want him to drop dead arso.

Are people still seriously interested in what happens this season with the Pirates? That's on you if you are.
