I feel like if the Pens get by Columbus, we can be safe knowing they'll go a few rounds. With their recent injuries, I think Round 1 is going to be the biggest challenge for them.

Can't wait for Tortella's thugs to target our best players. There's going to be fisticuffs for sure.

The NHL playoff format is really dumb. The #2 and #3 team in the East are playing each other and the #4 and #5 are playing. Only the Wash vs Tor matchup makes sense. The West is a little better.

Penguins got nailed by this last year, but survived it. 2 years in a row is brutal.

It's all because the NHL doesn't seed by the conference, as they do by the division. That's why the Pens get nailed.

Beats me, you are eliminating some better teams early for no reason. You get say the Pens vs Caps in round 2, makes the conference championship anticlimactic.

I like the divisional format. Be the best team in you division by getting out of your divisional playoffs, then face and beat the best team in the other division in the conference, then beat the best team from the other conference. To be the champion you have to beat them regardless of the order. Does it really matter if your divisional playoffs might be more difficult than the other divisions?

But I know I am in the minority.

I would note that I similarly prefer college football championships to be conference champions before any non-champion regardless of perceived conference strength. And I think I'm in the minority there as well.
You're pretty on the inside,
That's better than not pretty at all,

They basically rewarded the Rangers for finishing behind the Pens and Blue Jackets. It makes no sense.

I don't think this is a good omen...MAF starting. Seems as if those saying Murray wasn't healthy over the weekend knew what they were talking about.

Jarry is backing up MAF. Now we know why he didn't get sent down after the weekend.

Based on the clips USA just showed...Murray probably has a groin injury or something along those lines. I'd be surprised if he plays this weekend.
