You can't be this tone deaf about social equity and work in a school system. I mean, it really alarms me. I know this is viewed as "getting personal," but it would be like a judge discussing a similar bias or a doctor questioning "the continued importance of the hippocratic oath given the realities of the current economy."

I know this board is an escape and we're all exaggerated versions of ourselves, but this is really something...

I work with nonprofits, which I'm sure for some of you probably a weird frame for what you know of me. But at the very least I am not a direct program provider. I give business counsel.

It would be like finding a blog I'd written somewhere about the critical importance of Christianity for the continued salvation of nonprofits, and then to see me bad mouth organized religion on this board. They would be incongruent. And frankly egregious.

Winter, that's how I feel about you. And I know you want me to "drop the personal stuff" and go back to having these ideological debates, but your world view is scary and made worse by your profession.

I'll just stay out of these political threads because your continued attack on, well, everything makes me uneasy. I worry for the children, and not in some sort of facetious way. My day job makes me unable to continue reading this crap.

I dunno man. I mean, I've heard that theory quite a lot. But in your opinion, how much time is needed until we can move past slavery as a reason for hate?

Holy Jesus. And you're an educator.

I'm getting the undercurrent of racism through your posts. It would explain how someone can be a champion of labor but hate people of color in poverty who take "handouts" and are uppity about what they are owed. You are the classic Trump voter - you see yourself as someone who works hard for his family and begrudge those who don't. Your abject hatred of Obama was surely as much a function of his race as anything else.

The picture of Winter's perspective is taking shape. I actually see it materialize in people who are civil servants. The day-to-day grind hardens into a world view, and empathy is replaced with disgust. "Those parents" and "those kids."

To quote your hero, it's sad. You should probably quit your job given this bias, but I'm sure you have no other skills that could earn you what your union-protected position provides. So it's the children who suffer.

At least you don't teach history or English. But I'd be interested in looking at how you grade, and who you show preference for in the classroom.

This quote is so much more fun out of context. Or maybe this one:

    Or even this one....

What can I say? He's got a hot tool...

Josh Bell is going to be a Homerun Monster. He might even have 30 HR this year.

He has so much power from both sides!

But he appears to be sacrificing average to do it. He has a sub-.800 OPS, and though I like the long ball, I loved his hot tool coming up through the minors.

Please let it be David S. Pumpkins.

That sounds like an R2 unit in there!

    Any questions?!?!!?!
