Probably the same reason every team does not develop every player.

It's not just Hanson, it's a lot of players this team isn't developing. They are around 23rd in WAR for guys that have come to the majors through their farm system that have been drafted by the Bucs during Huntington's reign. That's fucking bad especially for a team that drafted in the top 5 for much of this management teams first few years.

Pirates won't add shit win or lose today's game. They'll come up with some bullshit answer like how we'll be thanking them by getting to watch Glasnow getting bombed when he's back in the majors

From that group, I think Freese would be a big loss. I was floored when he signed with the Pirates for as little as he did. I think he's a great all-around ballplayer.

His loss would hurt but having Frazier and JHay lessens the loss. They would really need another decent infielder if he is traded though.

Then you're looking at a robbing Peter to pay Paul scenario, since trading any of the defensemen leaves the team with only six viable NHL options. That's not a good position to be in either. Especially given that you don't need to be Marty McFly to know that Letang is going to miss time again this year.

I'd venture it a good bet that both Sid and Geno will miss some time also.

Yep, I meant to discuss that.

It's easy for us to sit back and say, "enough is enough". But wealth is relative. If one person makes $50K/year, the person making $200K/year is rich and shouldn't complain. If you are the one making $200K/year, the person making $1M/year is rich and shouldn't complain.

The reality is that almost all of us live to the limits of our income.

Also a lot of the athletes have leaches in their lives that they don't realize what's happening until their money is gone. I know people dislike espn, but they had a good documentary on athletes going broke after playing and it's really sad.
