I fucking loved Ben Grieve. One of many Oakland A's (Eric Byrnes, etc) that I wanted on the Pirates for a long time.

Grieve was signed by the Pirates at one point wasn't he?

Speaking of shitty years of Pirate baseball, Pat Mahomes would be a nice replacement for Landry Jones.

I didn't know he was coming off surgery, so that's a definite no for me. DB is still the way to go with #1.

DB in the 2nd and 3rd is the way to go.

The Pouncey brothers (along with all the rest of their UF buddies) are such scumbags:

Quote

After learning that his close friend Aaron Hernandez had committed suicide in a Massachusetts jail, Dolphins center Mike Pouncey shared an emotional tribute to his former college teammate.

“To my friend my brother! Through thick and thin right or wrong we never left each other's side,” Pouncey wrote on Instagram. “Today my heart hurts as I got the worse news I could have imagined. It was just a day ago we shared our last convo. I will forever miss you and love you bro. we will meet again rest easy!”

And fuck you too Aso for supporting this douche.

I can't believe that is all he could get. Am I missing something? Ive thought he is pretty solid, not amazing, but worthy of playing.

Great re-sign on Cockrell. Hopefully it's to the point after the draft and training camp, where Cockrell is NOT good enough to be one of our top 2 CBs, but great signing regardless.

Yeah, his agent must suck or he really, really likes Pittsburgh. That's robbery.

It's not like the Steelers' roster is overflowing with CB talent. You would think he would have had some leverage. Anyway, happy to have him back. He does a nice job.

Cockrell's a restricted free agent. The only way he gets any leverage is if another team makes an offer to him. And there's a gentleman's agreement between NFL teams that they don't do that.

Yeah, the Patriots do it for sure. I'm pretty sure that's why the Steelers lost Emmanuel Sanders.

They did sign him to an offer sheet but the Steelers matched it 1 year $2.5 million.

They lost him to the Broncos because they signed him to a 3 years $15 million contract, which wasn't worth it considering he never had a year above 1,000 at that point.

I think to that point in his career he had more surgeries than touchdowns

I don't remember but I wanna say I was in the group that wanted them to let the Patriots take him so we'd get their 3rd round pick. Or maybe it was a 1st.

Well, doesn't Mike agree with you since he plans on meeting up with Hernandez in Hell?

I feel like teams offer RFAs pretty often. The NHL is the league were RFAs are almost never offered by another team. That was the big deal when Kevin Lowe signed Dustin Penner.

There was some suspected collusion during the uncapped year, but I do not think teams refuse anymore.

Apparently Jabrill Peppers pre-draft drug sample was diluted.

That sucks. He was really the guy I wanted to see go at pick 30.

His case seems odd because he's had the hamstring issue, has a history of cramping, and was working out at two positions there. So being overly hydrated isn't a bad thing. Why don't they just re-test on a diluted sample?

His team is saying it was due to rehydrating after having had the flu. I hope this is true. His player comp is Polamalu and I'd really like the idea of getting a Safety/LB hybrid playmaker
