While its dumb to not play him and let him take his lumps, he hasn't done a ton with the minutes he's gotten. Meanwhile Porzingas looks like a star in the making.

A guy that is doing scary, scary things is Andre Drummond. His offensive game has been on a steady incline and he looks to have taken the leap as a 22 year old 7 footer.

Maturation, along with not having to play alongside Greg Monroe (and Josh Smith).

What's hilarious is that he played shitty Swaggy P the whole fourth quarter the other night and Russell didn't see the floor. Then Russell said after the game "I need to find out what I'm doing wrong."

What a train wreck.

Stan Van has had some success coaching young athletic 7 footers. He's still one of the best coaches in the NBA by a good margin. He has that team in position to make some noise in the East this year. They're also not an automatic skip on League Pass anymore. People laughed at giving Reggie Jackson all that money but he's been really good so far this year.

Surprised it took 9 games for shit to hit the fan.

I don't think it took this long. I suspect Monday wasn't the first explosion between the two.

That team is going nowhere. They need to give guys like Russel and Julius randle as many minutes a night as possible. Kobe going full fuck the world and chucking it 40 times a night helps no one

Steph Curry is playing a different game from everyone else, it's truly amazing to watch

Another ridiculous game so far tonight: He has 25 of the Warriors' 75 first-half points.

Jim Benedict is one hell of a shooting coach...

Minnesota is hanging in there but Curry is just playing like a man from some other dimension.

and if you listen to the fans out here, they're like the delusional, pjoma mold pirate fans from 6 or 7 years ago. it's perpetually, no just wait until next year. 1 more top 5 pick and they're set....just wait for Saric to come over, then you'll see. meanwhile Joel Embiid is drinking his weight in Shirley Temples every day and rebreaking his foot every chance he gets.

EDIT: and they might end up with 2 top 5 picks, I think the Lakers pick is only top 3 protected and no matter how awful the Lakers look, the 76ers and Nets are infinitely worse

My Celtics just won back-to-back nights in OKC and Houston. They really don't have the elite players you really need to win in the playoffs, but they are deep and Brad Stevens can coach. Now if they can just get Ben Simmons with that #1 they're getting from Brooklyn...

Yeah, they already have the complementary pieces but need a star to have a chance versus the Cavs and Bulls. Simmons would be a nice way to somewhat ease the sting of missing out on Duncan years ago.

I don't think it got talked about at the time, but jesus christ did Boston absolutely bend the Nets over on that trade. They gave up what, 3 unprotected firsts for a season and a half of Kevin Garnett and a season of Paul Pierce? Depending on who Boston ends up getting with those picks, and they're absolutely going to be lottery picks and probably top 5 because the Nets are just fucking awful, that could go down as one of the worst trades in NBA history. Seriously, that 1 trade could set the Celtics up for the next decade.

Absolutely. Plus from the Nets' side, they are going to be absolutely awful for the foreseeable future. Seems like a long ass time ago that they were a title contender.
