Sorry for talking baseball but Josh Bell is really vindicating some people this season. Look at his month by month splits and he's consistently been fairly good, but his August has been really good.

Good call. Everyone has focused on the struggles of Glasnow and Taillon, but an .832 OPS, 114 OPS+ from a 24-year old in his first full season is very promising.

Bell has also never even had a minor league season in which he slugged .493 as he's doing this year. One of those prospects rarely seen by Pirates' fans, where their projection always outpaces their minor league production, and they end up being better at the MLB level than they were in the minores.

I've always been a fan of Bell. After McCutchen, he's my favorite Pirate. What makes it even better is that DBS/Rollo/Kevin Creigh hated him and didn't want the Pirates to sign him. He will hit 40 homers in a season before his career is over. He will be the Pirates offense by 2019, if not next year.

That's cool. It doesn't really bother me; I'm just happy the Pens won the Cup.

But I think that's the reason there is beef with you and Jermaine. Could be wrong though.

Something that never happened is the reason he has a beef with me? Seems about right for a troll.

Cut it with the Troll talk, steelcity123.

Really, I had to read you saying that 15 times in 16 posts.

I don't know if anybody is actually watching this Pirates "little league classic" game. But that "Great Potato Caper" story was hilarious.

Totally true story too.

He has been impressive.

It's remarkable how many Pirates are between 85 and 95 on OPS+ and ERA+. Practically everyone. It's remarkable they have flirted with contention from time to time this season because these guys define mediocrity.

Gerrit Cole is my least favorite Pirate ever. Something about the gap between his potential, how good everyone thinks he is, and his actual pussy, weak-ass bitch real life performance makes me absolutely despise the man.

Dude is a goddamn loser.

As soon as he gave up a lead off single in the Cubs Wild Card game 2 years ago, I knew we were done.

Any time we really need Cole to come through, he just brings out some weak-ass game.

His hittablity was the major thing that I posted for not drafting him ahead of Rendon and that I actually liked Bauer more than Cole. While I don't think there is a whole lot of difference in performance between he and Bauer, Rendon would have been a much better pick. Cole both missed and failed to miss college bats. His inability to limit contact of amateur bats always concerned me and it most certainly has translated to an ability to keep hitting MLB bats.

This is probably the game that clinched NH coveting Ramon Vazquez

He was having a very good year.

Hard to imagine he was ever a SS given his size now. He is huge. And not in the best way.
