Murray's four goal games are better than Fleury's.

Lightning go up 3-1 over Leafs. Would put them within 3 with 2 to go.

If you are the Caps, you want Toronto, not Tampa Bay.

Is anyone else concerned that Kessel has only 1 goal in his last 23 games? Hurt maybe?

Not really concerned, he's still getting shots and chances. Nothing's going in for him right now. But that can change at the drop of a hat.

came across this from last year: Best and Worst moves made at the 2016 trade deadline.

uh, opps?

To be fair, a lot of people besides Lyle Richardson whiffed badly on the Schultz trade. It was pretty widely panned across the NHL, at the time it was made. Schultz's improvement over the last 13+ months has been downright dramatic. He wasn't very good in Edmonton.

Nice win by the Pens last night, but I wasn't enamored that the game wound up being a track meet. The Devils obviously didn't care about structure, they were willing to sacrifice defense for added offense. And so, the Pens let the Devils dictate the flow of the game. Which didn't work in the Devils favor, because the Pens were happy to trade end-to-end rushes, since they have the superior offense. Still the game was worthless as far as playoff preparation goes.

I get award votes this year.

I think I am leaning toward...

MVP: 1) McDavid, 2) Crosby, 3) Bobrovsky, 4) Marchand, 5) Kucherov

Calder: 1) Matthews, 2) Laine, 3) Werenski, 4) Murray, 5) Marner (I keep going back and forth on Matthews and Laine)

Norris: 1) Karlsson, 2) Hedman, 3) Burns, 4) Keith, 5) Werenski

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the top three for MVP. The homer in me might go with Crosby but there's no denying what Bobrovsky is doing in Columbus. That team won 49 games and he was in goal for 41 of them.

I think Matthews is an easy call.

I'm not sure I know who I'd go with for Norris. I haven't seen a heck of a lot of non-penguins games.
You're pretty on the inside,
That's better than not pretty at all,
You're pretty on the inside,
Too bad I'm an outside kinda pretty guy.

It seems to me that yinzers are split between thinking Jagr is a traitor and thinking Jagr should come back to Pittsburgh. And I feel like the split is fairly even.

I don't pay attention enough to hockey outside of Pittsburgh to make an educated comment on any of your votes, but congratulations on being able to cast legit votes now as a hockey writer. That's a pretty damn awesome accomplishment.

Wow, the pressure in Toronto is at Defcon 4 tonight, Leafs had better get 1 because Tampa isn't losing.

McDavid was the only player with 100 points, and no one else was really close. No 50 goal scorers. NHL really knows how to connect with the fans.
