The pirates are shopping all their middle relievers for scraps that are already in the majors. Wily mo Pena? give me a break. Im tired of trying to give players that have flopped a second chance... usually that only works if you trade them out of Pittsburgh. Of the teams that need help that we should trade with, Philly,Boston and New York have no prospects that should interest us, but the rockies have a ton of talent in their farm club and their thirdbaseman is 23 with some pop. Plus they could use Marte in their pen. Yet we havent even heard any talk about this.

lrhotspot21 = LIC

There is no doubt.

How can you type "Philly,Boston and New York have no prospects that should interest us"???

By the way, who the fuck is "Ian Smuth"? They don' even have an Ian Smith.

Just stop with your stupid threads. Every time you are going to start a thread, don't.

I disagree that it's LIC. I'm beginning to think it's one of our regulars just fucking around.

There's no way that someone can post that much nonsense for real.

If you ever wondered what become of the ESPN boards, this thread would be a prime example.

So as Irhotspot is not LIC or even a regular having some fun at our expense, he is an ESPN refugee.

He is from ESPN. If you thought he has posted some stupid shit here then just read this gem he posted at ESPN.

"lrhotspot21 Post #13: Jul 12, 11:05 pm Quote | Report Violation
Total Posts: 56 first off, id take andy van slyke in his 50s over andruw jones. Jones is past his prime and isn't even the best centerfielder in the league now let alone in history. Id take torri hunter of jones right now. Even Kenny Lofton id take back before paying jones 15 million.
"

LIC's IQ would make lrhotspot21 its bitch.

Either way, I gotta know what that screen name is all about. I'll bet the story is so bad that it's good.

lrhotspot's comment that his mother saw Steve Pearce drop three balls is already in the Pirate board Hall of Fame. In fact, if we had an "instant classic" section on this site, that post would be in there for sure.

As the post was epic, there truly wasn't anything Wood Worthy, as we used to call it. Here's the post:

Maybe the fact that he has 7 errors in 77 games at firstbase. And that my mother who knows jackshit about baseball and sits two rows behind him with season tickets calls me saying boy that kid can hit but I think I can catch the ball better than him... he dropped it three times tonight. Now I know that my mother is not the best scout on talent but when I see seven errors in 77 games for a firstbaseman and then hear he drops the ball three times in one game... he is way below the league avg at fielding

Remember, the dictionary was originally for words only. Short phrases eventually got added later. I'm not sure what to pull from Irhotspot's post.

The Big Wood/Grilled Story thread is not a thread for idiocy as demonstrated by posters.

It is a thread so that the epics relayed by our resident Homer's will live on, even as they get lives and post less frequently.

Irhotspot's postings may be giggle-inducing, but they are not worthy of being pinned.
